Services:
MountainView Urology offers a full spectrum of urologic care for adults and children. We endeavor to provide the most contemporary diagnostic and treatment options in a caring and respectful environment. We specialize in treating diseases of the female and male urinary system, as well as conditions affecting the male genitalia. These conditions include:
- Urologic cancers (prostate, bladder, kidney, testicle)
- Urinary stones and blockages
- Enlarged or painful prostate conditions
- Urinary and genital infections
- Incontinence (Leakage of urine)
- Male sexual difficulties
- Urination problems of all types (including bleeding)
- Prolapse (Dropped bladders)
- Evaluation and treatment of the urinary symptoms of neurological diseases such as diabetes, spinal cord injuries, strokes, and Parkinsonism
- Childrens problems (bedwetting, urinary reflux, infections, scrotal and penile abnormalities)
- Vasectomy as a form of permanent sterilization, including no scalpel vasectomy
- A comprehensive approach to the treatment of kidney stones including shock wave lithotripsy, percutaneous (through the flank) lithotripsy, ureteroscopic (internal telescope without an incision) stone manipulation utilizing laser technology, and (rarely) traditional open surgery.
- Prostate ultrasound and biopsy utilizing the latest smaller diameter probes and modern local anesthetic techniques.
- Diagnosis and treatment of urologic cancers including (when necessary) radical prostate surgery and total bladder removal with various methods of urinary diversion.
- A full range of therapies for male sexual problems including erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation. Options include recently released medication, injection therapy, vacuum devices, and penile implants.
- Bladder scope exams available in the office using local anesthesia and the latest small diameter, flexible scopes. We can also treat certain small tumors and take biopsies in the office, possibly avoiding the need for an anesthetic and hospital stay.
- Conservative (exercises, physical therapy for the pelvic floor, medication) and surgical interventions for the treatment of various forms of urinary leakage. We offer a range of surgical and minimally invasive options, and also work closely with our gynecology colleagues and with rehabilitation medicine to take a team approach to treating disorders of the pelvic organs including prolapse and leakage.
- Urodynamic testing for complex voiding dysfunctions and for more complicated leakage problems.
- Medication and nonmedication treatment options for bladder overactivity.
- Medical and surgical options for foreskin problems.

Emergencies:
Emergency situations are given immediate attention. We provide 24-hour physician coverage for emergencies. After regular office hours, call the office number, and you will be given instructions on what to do. In extreme emergencies, please call 911. When you arrive at the hospital, please identify yourself as our patient. |
Prescription Refills:
Our office will call your pharmacy within 24 hours for all approved refills. You may have to come to the office to pick up a written prescription. Please call during regular office hours for prescription refills, unless it is an emergency. |
Test Results:
We will notify you of all lab and x-ray results. If you have an appointment scheduled shortly after your test, we will go over the results with you during your office visit. We may also contact you by phone or mail. If you have not heard from us within two weeks of your test, please call our office. |
Fees:
Our practice requires payment at the time services are rendered. We will directly bill Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Medicaid, Medicare, MVP, and Cigna. We also accept cash, check, and MasterCard/Visa. We may bill other insurance companies as a courtesy to our patients; however, payment is ultimately your responsibility. We do offer a Financial Assistance Plan for those who qualify. - If you are unable to keep a scheduled appointment, please give us 24 hours' notice so that we can use your appointment time for another patient.
