Community RelationsWhat is Community Relations and Development?
At CVMC, the Community Relations and Development Department is responsible for communications both within the medical center and with the communities we are here to inform and serve. Our audiences included residents of the central Vermont area, as well as potential and existing patients, our physicians, employees, donors and volunteers. As part of our work, we:
- Recruit, train and oversee the many volunteers who assist in supporting patient care.

- Create and maintain relationships with donors who financially support the mission of CVMC.

- Support the mission of CVMC to educate the public so to live healthier lifestyles
- Enhance employee morale and information sharing through projects, publications, events and recognition initiatives
- Coordinate all communications internally and externally including news and information releases, publications, marketing and media relations
- Coordinate governmental and legislative affairs for CVMC, supporting the CVMC trustees through its Community Relations and Development Committee
- Support the activities of the CVMC Auxiliary
- Provide CVMC visibility in our service area communities
