With the opening of the new National Life Cancer Treatment Center at Central Vermont Medical Center this fall, Cheung Wong, M.D. will continue to provide comprehensive gynecologic oncology care in collaboration with the radiation oncology and medical oncology departments at CVMC. He is the Director of Gynecologic Oncology at Fletcher Allen Health Care and an Associate Professor at the University of Vermont College of Medicine.
Dr. Wong will see established patients and new patients diagnosed with gynecologic malignancies such as ovarian, cervical, uterine, vaginal and vulva cancer. Patients seen at CVMC’s cancer center will also be able to participate in appropriate gynecologic cancer research studies sponsored by the National Cancer Institute.
He specializes in gynecologic oncology, robotic-assisted surgery and obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Wong has a special interest in pre-invasive cancer in women.
Dr. Wong attended the New York University School of Medicine and did his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Mount Sinai Hospital. He completed a fellowship in gynecological oncology at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Buffalo, New York. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology with a sub-specialty certification in gynecologic oncology.
